An elegant and slightly drier, more European style vintage fortified wine.

The grapes for this traditional style fortified wine were hand picked, pressed gently by foot, wild fermented until fortification and aged in a single old oak puncheon for 15 months. This simple and traditional method produces an elegant and slightly drier, more European style.

Vintage fortified wines are like red wine—if cellared correctly they will develop complexity and character in the bottle, and once opened should be drunk in one sitting. This 500mL bottle is a great size for a group of four or six to enjoy a generous glass each.

This is a wine to serve on a special occasion, to enjoy with friends over a selection of salty pungent artisanal cheeses, or with small rich chocolate morsels at the end of a special meal.

JAMES HALLIDAY...94 POINTS (2018)
'Bravo. A shiraz VP that is indeed in the Portuguese style, drier than most Australian VPs, with spicy black fruits ricocheting around the mouth.'
