A deeply flavoured Pinot Gris with a long, textured finish.

Tasting flavours of rose petal and quince in the Pinot Gris grapes as they ripened on the vine in the dappled Summer sunshine, I took a small parcel to explore how these flavours could be further enhanced by fermentation on skins: the technique in which red wines are fermented.

Bottled without filtration and fining, it has produced a wine deep salmon-pink in colour, with a nose showing the same enticing aromas of quince, apricot and rose petal seen in the vineyard, and a deeply flavoured palate with a long, textured finish.

Curiously familiar and yet deliciously different, this is a wine to share at the bar with good friends, over a selection of tapas morsels.
