An elegant, aromatic red wine with a peppery tannin finish — perfect to serve with paella.

Originally from Portugal, Sezão is traditionally used in vintage port styles, bringing deep colour and firm tannin to the back of the palate. Young Portugese winemakers have more recently started to use it in deeply-flavoured elegant reds.

Here at the vineyard, Sezão is the last of our southern Mediterranean varieties to ripen every year. The tiny bunches fit snugly into our palms as we pick, staining our hands a gorgeous inky red.

Bottled without filtration or fining, this wine has a deep colour and a nose reminiscent of ripe summer berries. The palate has layers of savoury flavours, sinewy acid, and a fine-grained peppery tannin finish. Enjoy with friends over a fragrant paella, full of saffron and spicy chorizo; with crispy roast duck or a spicy pork pasta.
