Sometimes out of challenging and difficult vintage conditions, beautiful wines emerge and take us completely by surprise. Produced from fruit grown in the cool and wet vintage of 2023, the Nebbiolo that year was lean and sinewy, with delicate varietal fruit flavours. While not what we traditionally look for in red wine, the lighter colour and natural acid backbone made it perfect for sparkling wine, as did the delicate and fragrant hints of strawberry on the nose.

Two years gentle ageing on yeast lees in the bottle has built complexity and texture, resulting in a delicious, elegant wine best enjoyed with close friends.
